1.The Principle of NTC thermistor

NTC thermistors are nonlinear resistors, which alter their resistance characteristics with temperature. The resistance of NTC will decrease when the temperature increases. This characteristic enables them to respond quickly to temperature changes.

2.How NTC thermistors work in consumer electronics applications

2.1Water dispenser: As a device with high safety performance, water dispensers have high requirements for temperature response time. NTC thermistorsare mainly installed at their inlet and outlet to measure water temperature, prevent water temperature from being too cold or too hot, or potential dangers.

2.2 Smart toilet: NTC thermistors can detect the water temperature, wind temperature, and seat heating on smart toilets. For example, for water temperature, NTC thermistors are usually installed at the water’s inlet and outlet to quickly detect water temperature and prevent risks causing by overheat water.

2.3. Coffee machine: Brewing coffee has specific requirements on water temperature. Overheat water will destroy the taste of coffee. NTC temperature thermistors are mainly used to detect the outlet temperature, improve the brewing of coffee machines, and prevent safety accidents.
